Taking a page from the playbook of the Algonquin Round Table (ART)—a group of New York City writers, critics, actors and humorists who originally called themselves “The Vicious Circle”—I believe it’s time for us to name our adroyt salon partakers. The ART met for lunch each day at the Algonquin Hotel from 1919 until roughly 1929, engaging in wisecracks, wordplay and witticisms for which they became known. We may not gather over a meal every day in social media circles but we certainly bump into each other often enough to declare ourselves a bona fide pack of pundits. Let’s own the fact that we are a cultural movement and give ourselves a name. Chime in below to throw your title in the ring!

I dedicate the founding of this salon, my desire to leave a literary legacy at the foundation of the effort, to Apple founder Steve Jobs, who just lost his battle with cancer. His commencement speech at Stanford University says it all in case you missed our last post.
